Contract Holders Frequently Asked Questions

AUL offers a wide range of plans to help protect your vehicle. Please contact your dealer to see the available options.

Most contracts can be transferred one time to a new owner. Please see your Vehicle Service Contract for further details or call AUL Corp directly. Select here to download a transfer form.

In most cases, yes! To see if your Vehicle Service Contract is eligible for renewal, simply return to your selling dealer.  Please contact them within 30 days of the contract’s expiration date or within 1,000 miles from the contract’s expiration mileage, whichever comes first.

In most cases, yes! Please see your Vehicle Service Contract for specific cancellation details. In the event that you need to cancel your contract, please return to your selling dealer. The dealer will need a copy of the service contract, a brief letter signed by the contract holder requesting cancellation and an Affidavit indicating the true odometer (mileage) reading on the date of request.

In the unfortunate event that you need to start a claim, you will first want to get your vehicle back to your selling dealer if 1) you live within 60 miles of them, and 2) they have a repair facility.  They will need to diagnose the problem and then call our Claims line (888.285.2567) when they have an estimate ready.  If you don’t live within 60 miles of the selling dealer or if they don’t have a repair shop, you can take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility.

AUL offers the most comprehensive Roadside Assistance benefits in the business—including towing up to 150 miles—and it is complimentary on all of our Vehicle Service Contracts!

AUL does not handle any payments for your vehicle or your Vehicle Service Contract.  Please refer to your contract or Bill of Sale for lienholder information.

Not all levels of coverage on our Vehicle Service Contracts have a rental benefit. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of your Vehicle Service Contract to see if it is included in your coverage. If you do have the rental benefit, it is available when we have authorized repairs to the covered vehicle.

The terms are located on the Declaration Page of the contract (the first page). Your Vehicle Service Contract will end once you reach the date or mileage indicated.

Most of our Vehicle Service Contracts require you to follow the manufacturer’s schedule for maintenance and to save your maintenance records; however, some of our Vehicle Service Contracts have more specific guidelines. You can locate your contract’s specific maintenance responsibilities in the Terms and Conditions section of your Vehicle Service Contract or Warranty.

While most of our Vehicle Service Contracts come with “day one” coverage, it might take your selling dealer a little longer to get all of your documentation to us.  This process is normal, and you should allow 30-45 days for full enrollment.  Of course, if you need us sooner, we are happy to work with you and your selling dealer to get your contract enrolled right away.
